Pamätáte si ešte ten pocit, keď ste v jeseni išli mestom, a z diaľky ste zacítili vôňu pečených gaštanov? Zrazu ste spomalili krok, nasledovali nos a o pár metrov ďalej už stál malý stánok, z ktorého sa parilo a teta v rukaviciach vám s úsmevom nasypala teplé gaštany do papierového vrecúška. Dnes? Namiesto toho vás ovalí vôňa street foodu, kebabu alebo pumpkin latte.
️ Mesto bez vône gaštanov
Nie je to tak dávno, čo boli stánky s gaštanmi súčasťou jesennej scenérie takmer v každom meste. Na námestí, pred kinom, pri zastávke. Dnes ich hľadáte márne – akoby sa stratili spolu s telefónnymi búdkami a tlačenými lístkami MHD.
Niektorí predajcovia sa vytratili pre prísne hygienické predpisy, iní preto, že pečenie gaštanov už jednoducho nie je „in“. Lenže práve tie malé, nenápadné veci robili mesto útulným a ľudským.
☕ Vôňa, ktorá chýba
Jesenné mestá dnes vonia po káve s vanilkou, tekvici a karamele. Pekné, ale nie je to ono. Gaštany mali niečo zvláštne – pripomínali domov, detstvo a chvíle, keď vám stačilo pár teplých orieškov na zohriatie aj dobrú náladu.
Ak ste niekedy stáli v rade so skrehnutými rukami a potom sa popálili pri prvom súste, viete, že to bol rituál.
Tradícia, ktorú by stálo za to oživiť
V dobe, keď sa všetko presúva do kaviarní a foodtruckov, by možno stálo za to, vrátiť sa aspoň k jednej jednoduchej radosti – k vôni gaštanov na ulici. Možno by ľudia opäť začali spomaľovať, menej pozerať do mobilov a viac cítiť, že jeseň má dušu.
